Watching God work....

Today (Friday January 27/2012) myself and two other brothers in the Lord were able to see God demonstrate His perfect timing once again. There is this pastoral couple who live in part of the poorest areas around here. About a 45 minute drive from where we are living. Their names are Abellino and Mirellya Jacome, and they are serving their community for the Lord faithfully. Mirellya is pregnant with twins, and has a few other medical issues that are going to need to be dealt with in the near future.
Abellion and Mirellya were at the doctors two days ago and were told that if they did not start paying something on the $1,500.00 U.S. dollars they owe that they could not be there to deliver their babies, or take care of the other medical issues Mirellya has.
Now put yourself in the shoes of these two faithful servants of the Lord for a moment, and I say a moment because not too many of us could handle being in their shoes any longer than that. It is really tough going. You have a medical bill to pay, next to nothing for income, what you do get you use to feed your family and run a feeding kitchen for the children in your community. (still in their shoes?) You also need to pay some bills, and take care of the rest of your families needs, but by now your income is all gone and when you go to see the doctor they are requesting you start making payments by yesterday, but they will give you until Monday.
Now you go home and share this with the ministerial around you, who also have next to no income, you share this with your friends, not to solicit money from any of them, but to ask them to call out to God with you and for you. Everyone you have told know you and are all asking the very same question, "How are you going to do that?" You answer them God's timing is everything, pray and wait...are you still in their shoes? I'm not, I have learnt in Canada that if you need something there is a way to get it, so go find a way. That mindset will not work among the poor here in Mexico. So no, sorry to say, I am no longer able to walk in their shoes, I have so much to learn about trusting in God and waiting on Him instead of getting a quick fix.
Well today as I began earlier, these brothers in the Lord and I were with Abellino and Mirellya, not knowing about this need they had for some finances to pay the doctor/ medical facility. One of our goals today was to drop off a gift sent by God through a couple that were listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit giving a gift of $500.00 U.S. dollars in the name of Jesus Christ.
Mirellya's eyes welled up and tears began to run down her face, Abellino got up and wet to the keyboard in the church and began singing worship and praise to God, I could not hold back the tears in my eyes. In a few minutes we were all sitting back down and Mirellya said that the doctor/medical facility wanted around $340.00 U.S. dollars and that there were some tests that she needed to go for that could cost $100.00 U.S. dollars or more, and the breaks on the van that they had donated to their family needed replacing.
God did an amazing thing today in answering the prayers of Abellino and Mirellya, He can do the same for you. When is the last time you called out to God in such faith? He is waiting to hear from you, miracles can happen in your life too. Abellino and Mirellya are living testimony to what God can and is doing.
The struggle is not over yet, (are you still in their shoes?) they still need another $1,000.00 U.S. dollars to pay these medical expenses, next comes the birth of the twins and the other new medical expenses. Please keep them in your prayers and ask God if He is challenging you to help out Abellino and Mirellya in a way that reduces the medical bill totals.
You ought to come out here and see how God is working first hand, I can promise you one thing, you will not go home the same as when you arrived. God will change some aspect of your life, and it will more than likely be the one you least expect needed changing.
May God Bless you as you faithfully pray for Abellino and Mirellya, if you would like more information on how you could help them e-mail me at pennersparables@gmail.com and I will direct you in the direction you need to go.
Thank-You for faithfully praying for our family here in Mexico also!!
May all the glory be given to God!! Amen

Prison Ministry Update and Prayer Request

Hello everyone, I hope and pray that things are going well with you and your families. I understand the cold spell has hit the prairies in Canada, I have heard anywhere from -25 to -37 and that is before the wind-chill is added. Too cold for me right now, but you dress warm and drive safe, and don't forget to pray for safety as you travel from place to place for God wants to hear from us about everything, and being on the road in that extreme cold is nothing to take for-granted, so put the safety of your family and yourself in the reliable hands of God. We do that here daily also, but not for the extreme weather, for our overall safety.
We went into the prison again today, it was a good day, we were able to learn of some more needs in the prison. We were told today that there is a great need for soap, the prison has no soap left from previous donations and are in need of it. The men are going into the showers, but without any soap.
I know, I asked myself the same question, How do you run out of soap? But this is Mexico and the inmates are not supplied soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shoes, socks, underwear, blankets, and other basic needs by the prison. It is either by donation or family these items are supplied.
Please pray that we are able to find the funds to supply these physical needs for they are one of the doorways for us to get in and preach and supply the Word of God and in turn their Spiritual needs.
Thank-You so much for your continued prayers, may God bless you as you bless us by holding us up in prayer.

Different Kind Of Security

Well, Leah and I drove down to the store at the bottom of the hill ( El Florida ) to purchase some eggs and bread. As we entered the front door there was someone coming out which being polite I moved out of the way and as I did I felt something brush against something. Then as a natural instinct I put my hand down to move what was brushing my leg and there it was.....The barrel of this big ol' gun held by this mean looking security guard. What a funny feeling, I worked as a security guard in Canada and did I get a big ol' gun....NO...so yup things are a bit different here in Mexico.....Just thought I would share a funny story with everyone....
